Appeal for Applicants Denied Tenancy
If your application is denied you will be notified in writing. The written notice will include:

  1. The reason the application was denied;
  2. State the applicant has the right to respond to the owner within fourteen days of the date of the denial notice to dispute in writing the denial or the applicant can request a meeting to dispute the denial and;
  3. State persons with disabilities have the right to request a reasonable accommodation to participate in the informal hearing process.
If a meeting is requested the meeting will be conducted by a staff person who was not involved in the initial decision to deny admission. Within five business days after receipt of the written response or meeting, the owner will advise the applicant in writing of the final decision on eligibility.     I have lived at Hugh Carcella a decade now and I love my place. I keep it nice. I do my cooking and enjoy my people. Love my community. I’m always available to help anyone out and my maintenance guys are always there when I need them.

    I’ve been here at Hugh Carcella for 12 years and it’s been very nice to live here. No problems at all and if I did, the maintenance and staff were there to take care of it right away. We had a door decorating contest and I came in 2nd.

    I’ve been living at Hugh Carcella since March 2001. I want to stay. I’m a beautiful 81 years old and enjoy life. The staff has always been nice to me over the years.
