EHDOC and Wells Fargo are very pleased to announce the commencement of an 8 million dollar project to renovate Mildred & Claude Pepper Towers, a 31 year-old high rise located in Miami, Florida.
We would like to thank the State of Florida, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for their encouragement and financial commitment. Without them, this project would not have been possible.
MC Pepper Towers has over 150 senior residents who are provided many services so that they may age in place. This renovation project will enhance the lives of the seniors with new energy efficient appliances, improved building systems, hurricane rated windows, and some fully equipped handicap accessible units.
At a time when budget cuts are making new construction of Senior Housing extremely difficult, we must work diligently to preserve the housing stock that exists. We are most gratified that we were able to secure the funding to ensure that MC Pepper Towers will provide quality housing for seniors for many years to come.
"EHDOC develops and manages safe, secure, and affordable housing for senior citizens across the United States. EHDOC advocates for the highest quality of life for the seniors of today and tomorrow."
